Women in Ministry
A gathering of women who fellowship together through devotions, prayer, sharing our concerns, strengths and talents to support each other. We strive to practice hospitality, service, volunteerism, diversity, respect and acceptance. We work together utilizing our skills and gifts within the church and local community as needs arise and are identified. We enjoy visiting in fun social activities as well. We support various Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) projects as well as local church and community projects.
Ministry of Peace & Service
Grace Mennonite Church offers Grace & Peace to Stranger and Friend in the name of Jesus Christ.
The Ministry of Peace & Service team is focused on keeping the congregation informed of needs and of service opportunities in our local community and beyond and to find ways to meet these needs. This includes raising awareness of opportunities with Mennonite Disaster Service (MDS), Habitat for Humanity, the Regina Food Bank, and any emergency situations in which we can help.
Our purpose is to identify opportunities to promote peace and to help the church to be of service to others in the name of Christ.
The main area of our work has been the relocation of refugees from very dire situations in many parts of the world to a much better life in Canada. In our efforts to help those in the greatest need, we try to reunite families whenever possible.
We are grateful for the participation of other Mennonite churches in this ministry. We welcome personal support as well as support from congregations.
If anyone would like to help in this very meaningful work, or if you would like more information, please contact the office of Grace Mennonite Church. We would be pleased to connect with you.
Church Library
Please check out our church library. We have all kinds of books for all ages and interests.
If you want to donate to the library please notify the church office.
We have an arrangement with Commonword Books with Mennonite Church Canada, Winnipeg, called "Cheaper by the Dozen" where we are able to borrow 12 books at a time for a 6 week loan period. This allows us to regularly display new publications without cost for you to read.
Lao Fellowship
We have a large Laotian membership in our church and once a month they meet for Lao Fellowship. This provides an opportunity for our Laotian members to come together and worship in their native language, enjoying the fellowship and community of like-minded Christians.
Music Ministry
We are a community who celebrates worship with music, contemplative readings, and thought-provoking messages. Our services include singing/reading Sundays, musical gifts shared by members, worship anthems by our adult choir, youth led services, and messages from various members and guests. We incorporate traditional, contemporary, and culturally diverse music in our services. (We love to sing!) we strive to provide an inspiring service that embraces “All are welcome here”.
Education and Youth Ministry
From our weekly Sunday School program, to participating in larger inter-church group events, our youth programs are built to help our children and young adults grow in Christ, guiding them through Christian teachings of Love, Charity, and what it means to be a good steward of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Our Sunday School uses the Shine curriculum created by Menno Media.
